Jamui is the so called birth place of “Lord Mahaveera”, which was the god of Non-Violence. Jamui is the part of old Munger, which was the capital of Sher-Sah-Suri, one of the famous emperor of “Hindustan”. Jamui was also the part of old “Anga Desh Capital”. The district have a glorious past.

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has started functioning in 1995. Since last

in the district. We have achieved our goal upto some extent. But we have know that the ultimate goal is away so far. The farming community of the district is very familiries with us. Our special emphasis is on women farmers, which contributes more than 40 percent in the districts agriculture.

I hope, with assistance of the farmers, ICAR New Delhi, ZCU Zone II, Kolkata and different funding agencies, Institutions/NGOs, we will able to achieved our goal soon.
